ILHAM MINDA 163
LUBUK AKAL TEPIAN ILMU
BERBATAS RASA BERBALAS KATA
(Short saying drawn from long experience)
(One man’s wit is all men’s wisdom)
11
Memandu lebih baik ikut peraturan dan
menuju lebih baik baik ikut sasaran.
12
Tersilap hujah kalah, tersilap bahas tewas
dan tersilap bangkang kecundang.
13
Tersalah membedek buruan terlepas dan
tersalah membodek tujuan dibidas.
14
Baik lambat asalkan kerja selesai daripada
buat cepat tetapi kerja terbengkalai.
15
Sudah berbincang masih mengeluh dan su-
dah bertunang masih bertangguh.
16
Dalam keadaan biasa suka berleka tetapi
dalam keadaan getir kena berfikir.
17
Yang dipertikai di bawa musyawarah
dan yang terbengkalai di bawa muhasabah.
18
Berganding tangan cuma berjalan tetapi
berganding bahu terus maju.
19
Marah orang tua sentiasa berlapik tetapi
marah orang muda sentiasa mendabik.
20
Jika jauh merantau banyak meninjau dan
jika jauh belayar banyak mendengar.

and English Landscape in the north and to
the south a Japanese traditional. A traditional
Japanese tea house can be found
within the gardens.
