ILHAM MINDA 155
LUBUK AKAL TEPIAN ILMU
UTUSAN RASA URUSAN KATA
(Short saying drawn from long experience)
(One man’s wit is all men’s wisdom)

11
Dirempuh terjatuh, dilanggar terlantar, dia-
sak tersesak dan dihimpit tersepit.

12
Lemah lembut membuat orang terpaut teta-
pi lemah gemalai membuat orang terlalai.

13
Kadangkala kian disembah kian hilang ma-
rah dan kian dipuji kian hilang benci.

14
Semakin dipuji semakin berazam tetapi se-
makin dikeji semakin berdendam.

15
Kalau tak sempat jangan membantah dan
kalau tak dapat jangan menyumpah.

16
Anak menjadi bodoh bukan kerana jodoh dan
anak menjadi pandir bukan kerana takdir.

17
Anak mendabik itu kerana salah didik dan
anak yang bergaduh itu salah asuh.

18
Ibu menengking anak-anak berpaling dan
ibu mencaci anak-anak lari.

19
Sebelum pergi baik sediakan bekal dan se-
belum mati baik sediakan amal.

20
Sebaik-baik bekal ialah amal dan sebaik-
baik teman ialah iman
.

The garden, which is 58.3 hectares
in area with a circumference of 3.5 km,
blends three distinct styles: a French Formal
and English Landscape in the north and to
the south a Japanese traditional. A traditional
Japanese tea house can be found
within the gardens.

Shinjuku Gyoen
is home to a large number of cherry trees
of more than a dozen different varieties.
From late March to early April, more than
400 somei yoshino trees blossom around
the English garden turning the lawns into
one of Tokyo's most popular and pleasant
hanami spots.
