ILHAM MINDA 159
LUBUK AKAL TEPIAN ILMU
BERANJAK RASA BERAGAK KATA
(Short saying drawn from long experience)
(One man’s wit is all men’s wisdom)
1
Yang buat khianat tidak akan ingat tetapi
yang jadi mangsa tidak akan lupa.
2
Adakalanya dalam kegelapan ada sinaran
dan dalam kesilapan ada kebenaran.
3
Paksaan akan menjadi siksaan tetapi ke-
relaan akan menjadi keselesaan.
4
Menjadi marah jika sentiasa dicabar teta-
pi menjadi tabah jika sentiasa bersabar.
5
Jika tidak betah jangan membantah dan
jika tidak tabah jangan menyanggah.
6
Saling bertengkar kalau tidak sabar dan
saling berbalah kalau tidak tabah.
7
Daripada undur baik bertolak ansur dan
daripada mara baik menolak bala.
8
Kalau tidak telus hilang kepercayaan dan
kalau tidak tulus hilang kesetiaan.
9
Laba yang dicari bala yang dapat dan un-
tung yang dicari buntung yang dapat.
10
Memilih daripada orang yang layak dan
mengagih kepada orang yang berhak.
